Your Opportunity The Aherlkeme Development Centre in Alice Springs supports Territorians who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and who have difficulty in accessing, maintaining, and securing a tenancy. Tailored and individualised case management helps clients of the service to identify and address the issues that are placing their tenancies at risk. Support is integrated, holistic and culturally safe. As the Housing Officer, you will be supporting clients and other staff in the provision of tenancy support, in particular the provision of services to face homelessness, tenancy risks and other related issues. Your key responsibilities will be to: Conduct tenancy inductions ensuring that all required paperwork, documentation, bonds and applications are thoroughly and accurately completed. Carry out regular property inspections of all properties and complete required documentation. Organise routine maintenance at properties in conjunction with any subcontractors and NT Housing. Manage tenancy breaches and work with tenants and Case Managers to assist and support tenants to maintain their tenancies. Prepare a range of reports in regard to the running of the service including tenancy, rental arrears, waiting list and vacancy reports. Requirements for Success Cert IV, Diploma or degree in Community Services or related field Previous housing management experience Current and valid Drivers License Current First Aid Certificate Competent in using computer packages such as Office 2000 including Word, Excel and Power-Point Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficient administrative skills and use of technology (database, mobile devices).
