Our client is a well-known brand located in SE Melbourne and are in urgent need of experienced Cold Storage operators and Forklift operators commencing immediately on Day, Afternoon and Night shift.We are seeking EXPERIENCED warehouse operators that are confident in Forklift driving as well as being capable of fast-paced manual handling with experience working within cold temperature environments ranging from 0 Degrees to -18 Degrees. Determine faults in brake systems by analysing user reports and driving the vehicle, noting its performance, or by reading data from the vehicle's computer control system Examine brake units, including steel and flex hoses and handbrake cables, for wear, damage or possible failure, and repair or replace as required Measure brake drums and disc rotors to determine if wear or finished size is excessive Test brake units to ensure outputs reach the specified level (this includes electronic brakes), repair or replace leaky brake cylinders Attach new linings to brake shoes by bonding or riveting (this is a separate semi-skilled operation in some repair shops) Machine discs and drum brakes where indicated Fit wheels onto hubs and tighten wheel fixings to specified torque Ensure brake systems are filled with correct brake fluid and are functioning correctly Bleed the hydraulic brake system. We are seeking those candidates only who have prior experience and can demonstrate a high quality of work. This role will involve the following tasks: Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components; refer to service manuals as needed. Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test-drives; adjust controls and systems. Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; complete preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tyre rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters. Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conduct inspections; repair engine failures; repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replace parts and components; repair body damage. Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts. Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts. Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments for smoother running. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting. Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
