Chandler Macleod has two positions available for motivated, responsible, and reliable HR Drivers to work at our client's site located in Dandenong. They are an industry-leading recycling company and have ongoing opportunities available for the right person/s - previous experience in the Steel Industry an advantage but not essential. We are looking for persons with the ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution and work well with a small team environment. Is physically able to carry out manual handling duties and has good communication skills with great attention to detail. A high regard for safety is paramount across the board. Position 1 - HR Driver with forklift and road ranger experience - Ongoing Mon - Fri start from 6 am - 2 pm with minimum 1-2yrs forklift experience, with a pay rate of $31 per hour . Moffett experience an advantage but not essential. Heavy rigid truck driving and road ranger experience a MUST along with a committed attitude toward compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle-specific permits. Your role will be to pickup and drop off recycled metal products from varying sites around the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Position 2 - HR Driver with Double Hookup and trailer towing experience - Casual/Part-Time We offer Mon - Fri start from 6am to 2pm with a pay rate of $31 per hour . Forklift experience an advantage. Heavy rigid truck driving and experience hooking up and towing trailers a MUST along with a committed attitude toward compliance with all safety, fatigue, heavy vehicle operating guidelines, loading requirements, axle weights, adhering to vehicle-specific permits. Your role will be to pickup and deliver recycled metal products from varying sites around Melbourne. You will be required to hookup a trailer to the back of the truck with a hook and load bins onto the trailer using the hook and then load a bin onto the back of the truck also using the hook. 1-2yrs experience hooking up and towing trailers is a priority. There is a fair degree of autonomy in this role, you will be expected to work multiple shifts, typically shifts are between 7-12 hours, with an average of 35 hours per week, with overtime when and as required. Starting at the Casino Ampol depot, you will work day-shifts and join a network of approximately 15 other drivers. You are reliable, enthusiastic and highly motivated; looking to develop and expand their career opportunities within this sector as we train and develop you.
