Job Description & How to Apply BelowDescription/Responsibilities The Staff Accountant is a pivotal position on the Tivity Health Accounting team. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience with an understanding of accounting principles and best company practices, you will work alongside high-integrity colleagues in a fast-paced public company environment. This full-time position will be responsible for assisting in the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, performing analysis and reconciliations, performing Sox controls, while also being responsible for maintaining the cash module, processing payments, and loading cash transactions.Responsibilities include: * Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings of general ledger in accordance with GAAP ensuring deadlines are achieved. * Prepare assigned journal entries associated with the monthly close process. * Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. * Maintain fixed assets module including preparation of associated schedules in a timely manner. * Post and reconcile daily bank activity to general ledger. * Process vendor and other recurring payments within the established timelines. * Assist in the bi-weekly payroll process, supporting the Lead Payroll Coordinator with payroll processing, payroll tax remittance and other duties as needed. * Support the team to maintain an efficient and appropriate control environment in accordance with SOX. * Assist in the preparation of audit documentation for quarterly and yearly audits. * Assist with special projects and requests as needed.
