Key Responsibilities As a Datacentre Product Specialist, you will be responsible for architecting, quoting, and selling Dell Server, HyperConverged(HCI), Converged (VxRail/Rack and XC), Enterprise Infrastructure (EI), Storage, Data Protection and Networking solutions in the assigned segment. You will build and maintain customer relationships, both internal and external, by providing leadership and guidance for data center solutions while ensuring there is always a rapid, accurate response to customer needs via email or phone. Qualifies Datacentre sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding. Prepares detailed product specifications for the purpose of selling high end Datacentre products and solutions Requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers either by phone, email Assists in new account development and/or expanding existing accounts Leverages cross-functional resources to achieve results/meet customers/partners needs Essential Requirements Demonstrate experience in a technical pre-sales role. Experience and knowledge of Compute & Networking products, services, concepts, solutions e.g. HCI, Networking, Storage, Data Protection or HPC, and also Enterprise Software knowledge (eg Virtualisation, Security, Software Defined) Experience of working in a cross-functional solutions based sales team Industry knowledge from either a sales or technical view Comfortable dealing with all corporate levels including senior decision makers, Sales, Technical, Financial, Marketing Passion for learning new skills and technologies and proven experience of articulating how this benefits customers. Experience in data preparation with industry standard tools such as R and Python and with Visualization tools such as SAP, QlikView, PowerBI, etc. Be proficient in programming languages (one or more): R, Java, Python, F#, C# Comfortable with Analytical tools, languages, or libraries, one or more: SAS, SPSS, R, Mahout, etc. Qualifications Required Qualifications:3-5 years of work experience in predictive modeling techniques, statistical modeling & SQL skills along with machine learning/deep learning, and experience with Python, R A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics,Engineering or related field -required Masters' degree strongly recommended Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related quantitative field. We find people with applied experience in a field with very large and complex data sets such as Biology, Physics, or Social Sciences do well in this role . Preferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. is strongly preferred. Advanced technical solution selling and customer skills Track record of collaboration and working on virtual and matrixed teams. Understanding of Agile methodologies, with full delivery lifecycle experience from pre-sales to support/operations on complex projects Proven ability to transfer industry and market knowledge to new market opportunities and strategies.
