Job Description & How to Apply BelowIt's an exciting time to be part of this busy housing developer and they are currently looking for an experienced quantity surveyor, to join their commercial team in Stirling.  Ideally,  you will currently be employed as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor who has experience within the house building industry.Key Requirements of theRole:- Managing build costs, cash flows and budget financial information for the region.Ensuring Group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all development/ build-related expenditure adding value.Managing the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met.Engaging fully in the process of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.Assisting in the production of comprehensive Commercial reports and estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals..Actively managing communications and operational interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the Regional business plan.Authorising and committing expenditure.Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the commercial function.Applicants will have the following:- A BSC/MSC qualification in Quantity Surveying or relevant disciplineA good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build.Good Financial/Commercial awareness & Technical knowledgeGood Knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controlsGood awareness of codes of practice that impact on commercial matters e.g. Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc.Knowledge of Construction Design Management RegulationsFull UK Driving licenceLegal Information:Contract Scotland offers both the services of an employment agency for permanent work and an employment business for temporary work.We can only deal with applications from Candidates who are eligible to work in the UK and are current UK residents.We are committed to equal opportunities and diversity for our employees, temporary workers and work seekers.
