“Fundamental to the social fabric of our nation, our community and the health of us all”The National Centre for Action on Child Sexual Abuse was formally announced in October 2021 on the third anniversary of the National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse. The formation of the National Centre is a result of key recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. The Centre will be survivor-focussed incorporating the voice and lived expertise of survivors of all life stages, backgrounds and communities. It will work in collaboration with major research institutions, state and commonwealth governments, service providers, schools, and law enforcement agencies. The Centre is driven by leading expert organisations, Blue Knot Foundation, The Healing Foundation, and the Australian Childhood Foundation forming an Australia-first partnership that will commission critical research, raise community awareness, reduce stigma, and build capacity around policy, practice and services to support improved responses to victims and survivors and prevent child sexual abuse from occurring in the first place.The Role As a key member of the Centre’s leadership team you will lead the research, evaluation and knowledge generation agenda, delivering thought leadership and resources, and commissioning key research projects of national significance. Via collaboration and partnerships you will build capacity and research capability, create and collate diverse forms of knowledge and drive evaluations of effective programs and responses. Embedding a robust evaluation framework this role will build the evidence base on the prevention of child sexual abuse and trauma-informed culturally sensitive responses to survivors.Skills Required You have demonstrable commitment to social equity and a drive to create a fairer and more inclusive Australia, with an in-depth knowledge of child sexual abuse, child protection and victim/survivor impacts. PhD qualified or equivalent experience in research design, implementation and/or delivery in social, behavioural or health sciences with a strong research, evaluation and published component. You inspire, mentor and supervise staff and contractors, building and leading a cohesive high functioning team. A key component of the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) is the suite of Teradata and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) and Business Intelligence products which store, load the data and enable the information to be reported. Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Section is looking for Junior Systems Administrators that can undertake systematic analysis and arrive at accurate solutions based on evidence when assisting with the resolution of issues and provide ongoing support and maintenance of Data Warehouse systems. This position requires the occupant to be willing to be placed on an on-call roster and to be available to work after hours as required. Our ideal candidate: Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. The Enterprise Data Warehouse Section is seeking candidates that are experienced in the Teradata and Data Stage products. The role will assist in managing systems risk issues, undertaking complex technical testing and developing technical documentation, analysing systems defects, impacts and designing resolutions. Specific duties/responsibilities: Undertake problem solving and incident resolution and demonstrate an understanding of change control and release management procedures Provide advice to the manager of the CIE BAU team on issues and trends that may impact on the smooth running of the CIE/Teradata platform Conduct defect analysis, impact assessment and the design of fixes Undertake issue resolution and the provision of supporting advice Maintain and develop technical documentation Support knowledge transfer and ensure that systems are properly documented.
