The Community Services Directorate has an exciting opportunity to join the Family Safety Branch for a long-term contract of five years.The Office of the Coordinator-General for Family Safety supports the Coordinator General. The Office leads and improves an informed, capable, and connected response to address domestic and family violence in the ACT. The Office provides strategic leadership coordination, policy analysis and innovation expertise to drive cultural change and system reform. The role of the Office includes developing new and sustainable ways of working across government and community that focuses on intervening earlier, reducing barriers to access, joining up and integrating services, responding to diverse needs, maximising collective impact and holding perpetrators to account.The Executive Branch Manager, Office of the Coordinator-General for Family Safety will support and represent the Coordinator-General for Family Safety, liaising with government and non-government stakeholders to ensure effective consultation and engagement processes are in place. The Executive Branch Manager will also provide strategic policy advice to inform office priorities; have oversight of the Office’s responsibilities for ACT reporting on implementation of agreed recommendations and strategies, including national commitments; and develop key whole of government outcomes to drive cultural change.To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience in human services program management and service delivery as well as an understanding of the relationships between the Directorate, Government, portfolio Ministers and community agencies and peak bodies. You will also be able to demonstrate superior management and leadership capabilities and the ability to think strategically as well as excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $254,933 to $264,885 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $199,039.Note: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that details of long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly. Part-time and job share arrangements will be endorsed.
