You will design and check, or for larger projects, lead the design and checking of all aspects of vital and non-vital railway signalling systems in accordance with the requirements and specifications of the client railways. You will carry out allocated work packages and report progress to the Work Package Manager, such as Design Engineering, analysis and evaluation of all signaling related customer requirements and preparing or checking design with appropriate solutions. You understand comprehensively the system signalling requirements and scope of work. Perform design engineering tasks under supervision from the principal engineer/work package lead Prepare or review other related documentation such as Signaling Integration Plan, Functional Specification, Design Management plan. Prepare or review design with appropriate solutions to satisfy the customer specifications such as signalling arrangement plants, power calculations, headway signal spacing calculations, interlocking data etc. Shape the future of mobility with your qualifications and skills. You have proven experience in rail signalling design. You are an RPEQ certified engineer, or are eligible to get the RPEQ certification. You are experienced in Interlocking Systems, Train Control Systems (ETCS, CBTC or PTC etc) and Railway Systems. BDA is looking for a Senior Structures Engineer to support the most modern and capable configuration of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. The role is to be based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO). As a Senior Structures Engineerwithin BDA, you will Lead resolution of a wide range of structural related technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer. Apply Structural systems technical knowledge to investigate, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data. Lead investigations into events to determine safety implications, preparing analysis, recommendations and presentations regarding safety processes, Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload regulatory requirements to establish the system baseline design, Review technical correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. About you To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor Engineering qualification in either Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related tertiary Engineering degree qualification satisfying the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable). Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in an Engineering team providing in-service aircraft operations. Previous experience in a Defence Aviation environment; ideally Rotary Wing experience Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a Previous Defence service/Defence aerospace experience (Desirable) completion of DASR 21, Part M, Type cert courses Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
