BDA is looking for a Senior Structures Engineer to support the most modern and capable configuration of the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter. The role is to be based in Enoggera, Brisbane with the Army customer in an integrated Attack Helicopter System Program Office (AHSPO). As a Senior Structures Engineerwithin BDA, you will Lead resolution of a wide range of structural related technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer. Apply Structural systems technical knowledge to investigate, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data. Lead investigations into events to determine safety implications, preparing analysis, recommendations and presentations regarding safety processes, Develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload regulatory requirements to establish the system baseline design, Review technical correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Review/Approve in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment Support the development and implementation of the Apache Helicopter Structural Integrity (HIS) program. Required AASB Engineering Authority: Design Engineer. About you To be successful in this role you will have: A Bachelor Engineering qualification in either Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related tertiary Engineering degree qualification satisfying the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable). Demonstrated 5+ years' experience in an Engineering team providing in-service aircraft operations. Previous experience in a Defence Aviation environment; ideally Rotary Wing experience Well-developed communication skills to work collaboratively to a high standard within a Previous Defence service/Defence aerospace experience (Desirable) completion of DASR 21, Part M, Type cert courses Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
