The purpose of the role will be to perform electrical breakdown, inspections and planned maintenance on a variety of fixed plant equipment, focusing on safe and reliable asset operation. The roster will be 3 days on, 3 nights on, 6 days off.Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role will require you to:Maintain electrical infrastructure as per the weekly scheduleActively support the maintenance strategy and provide technical advice towards improvements aligned with this directionIdentify and recommend fixed plant improvements to reduce cost and down timeMaintain statutory electrical inspections and records as required by MSIRComplete fault finding and repairs of electrical systems and equipmentComplete isolations and inspections to identify faults and raise quality notifications in SAPComplete quality handovers with oncoming crews and other maintenance teams including contractors as well as assisting different teams as requiredEnsure all electrical work activity is carried out in accordance with site safety standards and proceduresAbout youTo be considered for this role, you will have: An Electrical trade certification and WA A-grade Electrical LicenseA Manual C-class Australian Drivers LicenceA current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the willingness to obtain oneA HV Operator ticket (desired)Port maintenance experienceCompetency with the use of SAP, Raising Quality Notifications and PLC systemsA passion for safe execution of workStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasksThe desire to relocate and reside in CarnarvonWhere you will be workingDampier Salt has three operations located at Dampier, Port Hedland and Lake MacLeod and is headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. About the role Our Water Resource Evaluation (WRE) group is a team of water related experts responsible for delivering technical excellence focused on unlocking opportunities and mitigating water-related risks across our Pilbara operations at all stages of mine development, from concept through to feasibility, implementation, operations, and closure.We are looking for a Senior Field Hydrogeologist to provide technical leadership and oversight to Rio Tinto Iron Ore's (RTIO's) Hydrogeological Field programmes. The role exists within the Resource Development Division.This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for hydrogeology and creating a strong team environment. You will lead a field-based team of hydrogeologists and technical officers whose remit is to support execution of hydrogeological field programmes. The programmes are integral to the ongoing management of water-related risk to our operations in the Pilbara and encompasses a diverse array of activities spanning drilling, aquifer testing and groundwater monitoring.Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, reporting to one of the Water Resource Evaluation (WRE) Superintendent Field Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for:Recruit, coach and mentor a mid-size team of field hydrogeologists and monitoring technicians in their role to supervise the drilling, installation, aquifer testing and routine monitoring of water supply, dewatering and groundwater monitoring infrastructure across in-pit and regional environments;Provide active safety leadership and promote a positive and respective team culture to an established field-based team through visible leadership;Be accountable for driving best practice in technical hydrogeological data collection and management.
