They operate and maintain Gas Networks across Australia to over 1 million homes and businesses. They have multiple offices around the country but this role will be based in their SE Melbourne location with expectations to travel around the east coast of Australia. Your new role This successful company is looking for an experienced Gas Pipeline Tradesman who is an expert in their trade and who enjoys passing on their knowledge to new up an coming trades experts. You will come from a Trade based qualification in either Mechanical, Fitting, Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent and have enough experience to step away from the tools and start training and coaching new staff of the business. The role will consist of 50% field based teaching and 50% classroom or office based training of apprentices and tradesmen. You will be required to travel to site approximately 1 week per month to various sites up the east coast of Australia. What you'll need to succeed More than 5 years' experience within a gas pipeline business in a role with a technical function. Detailed awareness of all aspects of Transmission pipeline operations and maintenance Experience working with, managing and coaching in a Permit To Work system. Experience in coaching, mentoring and training in gas specific technical subjects Ability to determine skill requirements for technical roles, assess individual technicians' capability and develop individual training plan(s) Proven skills and knowledge in developing innovative learning solutions which meet business needs Familiar with online delivery methodologies Competent in use of Microsoft Office suite of applications.
