Additionally, responsibilities include job management and staff coordination, client communication and reporting, as well as providing information to Property Managers for owner reports. The role also includes assisting in marketing initiatives and scheduling.DUTIESInclude but are not limited to:Electrical work:- Reviewing blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine proper sequences and methods of operation- Measuring and marking installation reference points for precise setup- Choosing, trimming, and linking wire and cables to terminals and connectors as necessary- Utilising electrical and electronic test instruments to pinpoint and address faults- Rectifying and substituting faulty wiring and defective components when needed- Placing and setting up electrical switchboards for effective functionality- Establishing connections for electrical systems to ensure reliable power supply- Conducting circuit continuity tests to verify proper operation- Installing, checking, and adjusting electric and mechanical components of elevators while adhering to safety guidelinesSolar:- Inspecting the physical condition of solar panels for any damage or wear, including checking for any shading that may affect the efficiency of the panels.- Verifying proper orientation and tilt angle of panels for optimal sunlight exposure.- Inspecting wiring connections for loose or damaged components.- Testing voltage and current output of individual panels to ensure they are functioning correctly.- Conducting a performance analysis to compare actual output with expected results.- Checking inverter functionality and monitoring for any error codes.- Evaluating the overall system performance to identify potential issues or improvements.- Conducting a visual inspection of the mounting system to ensure stability and integrity.- Assessing and cleaning the panels if necessary to maintain efficiency.Job management and staff coordination may include:- Planning and scheduling work assignments for team members.- Assigning tasks to employees based on skills, availability, and workload.- Monitoring progress on assigned tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within budget / quotation.- Providing guidance and support to staff members to help them achieve goals and meet deadlines.- Communicating job expectations and performance standards to team members.- Conducting regular meetings to discuss project status, address concerns, and provide updates.- Coordinating with other departments or external contractors as needed to support project objectives.- Tracking and documenting project milestones, deliverables, and expenses.- Anticipating and resolving potential issues or conflicts that may arise during project execution.- Providing feedback and performance evaluations to team members to facilitate growth and development.REQUIRED SKILLS- Licensed electrician: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3).
