Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Engage and empower the culinary team to deliver an exceptional fan and culinary experience Assist in hiring, training and managing the culinary team and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities Assist the Executive Chef in creating a menu that exemplifies the local and Canadian culinary offerings Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in kitchen Assists in oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques Qualifications Minimum two to three years of post high school education, preferably a culinary degree, and two to three years in a related position with this company or other organization(s) Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession Proven track record of delivering positive exceptional fan service Strong leadership skills with a "lead by example" mentality Able to problem solve by gathering and addressing problems in a timely manner Capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to changes on-the-fly Strong Interpersonal Skills-creates a collaborative environment Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace Working knowledge of inventory systems Safe Food handling Certification WHMIS/GHS training/certification Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
