The Production Planner will have the following key responsibilities:Work closely with the external manufacturers to schedule the production requirements and create a materials and capacity feasible short term production plan (1-3 month horizon).Review MRP exception messages within the planning time fence and resolves or escalates supply/demand imbalances as appropriate.Manage the SAP master data for all materials (raw material, formulated bulk, products) to ensure generation of realistic requisitions in SAP.Lead weekly and monthly local supply team meeting to determine and communicate feasible schedule for the next week / month and ensure that all parties are aligned:Partner with external manufacturers to determine optimal production schedule.Confirm raw materials inventories are ample to run the schedule; logistics constraints; equipment downtime; discuss any disposition of off spec material produced since last meeting and other plant issues.Create and release production orders / purchase orders.Monitor production performance to schedule and ensure SAP is managed in alignment with schedule performance.The ideal candidate for the Production Planner role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:Proven Supply Chain experience with demonstrated knowledge of supply chain principles, systems and processes.Strong knowledge of systems supporting supply chain activities including proficiency using ERP systems (e.g. SAP).Demonstrated Excel and data analysis skills.Understanding of BOMs (Bill of materials)Background in FMCG/Chemicals/Pharma- Other manufacturing environments
Purchasing Officer (Packaging)

Plan and purchase using SAP ERP. Purchase and support the manufacturing / production plan whilst meeting agreed stock targets.Purchase materials from approved suppliers according to specifications, considering requirements regarding compliance, quality, service and price.Monitor and report on supplier performance using agreed KPIs and other measures.Liaise with Quality Control, Warehouse, relevant departments and suppliers on quality, service, delivery, and continuity of supply. Participate in supplier audits as required.Advise Production Planner, Packaging Specialist and Purchasing Manager of any issues that may affect the production plan.Purchase to support production as needed. Maintain these stocks at appropriate levels and consult with end-users and suppliers to resolve any issues with quality, service, delivery, or supply.Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.2+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the packaging industry.Strong negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost savings and achieve favourable terms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and market research.
