Extensive Government Lease Portfolio Initial Six Month Contract with Potential Extension Opportunities Brisbane CBD Location Our public sector client is seeking a Lease Manager to join the team. This position will see you involved in the planning and delivery of leasing for the Department's property portfolio across Queensland. Key duties: Negotiate leases and licences for land, reserves and buildings in accordance with legislative requirement Provide expert advice in respect of leasing matters Draft and review lease documentation Prepare and present reports on the lease portfolio including annual compliance reporting Develop, review and update pro forma leases and licences Oversee the Approval in Principle process for tenant alterations and works Oversite and preparation of leasing paperwork: Head Lease, sub-lease and offer and acceptance documents Compliance with legislative and Government policy obligations regarding leasing and facilities management and maintenance Continual development and documentation of policies, procedures and programs to facilitate best practice property management and property maintenance Prepare weekly, monthly and annual invoicing for rental and lease fees. The successful candidate will: Experience in a similar position and knowledge of the Queensland property market Confidence in negotiating lease agreements and related matters Applied understanding of the political, social and legal environment and organisational Hold a current Qld Real Estate Registration Certificate and Qld Drivers License It is expected that the successful candidate will possess strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. They will display initiative, attention to detail, and have the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised whilst contributing to the wider team's objectives.
