You will be responsible for ensuring our Laboratory operations, systems and equipment meets best practice standards.Job Requirements Responsibilities• Set up, calibrate and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.• Conduct accurate and timely analytical testing of wine and juice.• Produce trade samples for Sales and Marketing• Maintain the laboratory, equipment and completing regular stock take of consumables.• Ordering reagents and equipment for analytical purposes.• Accurate recording of results and cross checking of results.• Maintain QA approval system for wine additives.• Be conversant and participate in the maintenance of HACCP.• Participate fully in vintage/harvest work requirements.• Maintain Interwinery Group benchmarking.The Ideal ApplicantThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:• Have a desire to be an important member in producing high quality wine.• Have proven experience in a wine laboratory environment.• Be proficient in the use of modern computer interfaces.• Have an energetic and positive approach to work.• Be able to work independently and be self-motivated.• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Have a desire to improve current practice through accuracy and efficiency gains.• Having a familiarity with Ezy Wine will be advantageous.Applicants must have Australian citizenship/residency or a valid existing Australian work visa.
