As a successful candidate for this role, you will be able to demonstrate: • Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or equivalent and/or Diploma in Railway Signalling or similar area; • Have experience with the Victorian rail network. • Extensive experience of the MTM and V/Line signalling design and standards. • Comprehensive knowledge of Victorian signalling standards, design processes and procedures. • Extensive experience in the following aspects of Signalling design: - High level scheme and control tables design, checking and verification; - Bonding plan design, checking and verification; - Various interlocking (relay, SSI/Smartlock, Westrace etc.) circuits and data design and verification. Extensive experience of the ARTC signalling design and standards is desirable • Hold Level 2 and Level 3 competencies from relevant AROs, and in particular MTM, that allow you to carryout essential design, checking and verification activities needed for the delivery of complex rail infrastructure works. • Extensive knowledge of Victorian signalling principles • Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership; • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines – and Arup’s related procedures including OH&S • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments; • Effective written communication and report writing skills.
