You will break stories and create engaging content that is impactful and reflects the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the wider Geelong community. You will also: Create quality innovative visual content for all ABC News platforms, including the website, social media, News Channel, 7PM and current affairs programs. Shoot photographs and compelling video sequences for use across multiple platforms to generate stories relevant to a broad section of Australians to reflect the cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity of the country. Develop strong contacts with community groups across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast, using community meetings, councils, social media and online forums to source story ideas and talent. About You We are seeking a Visual Storyteller, with experience in producing distinctive storytelling for multiple platforms. You are also a self-starter with ability to work well within a small, self-contained team. You will have a willingness to embed in the community and create strong contacts to ensure a genuine understanding of local issues. You will also have: Demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of stills and video camera, sound, editing and live operations in a fast-paced News environment. Accomplished capacity to work both in a team and as a single-person crew, gathering and editing high-quality images and sound in a range of locations including in the field and in studio. Experience in scripting, filming and editing short-format videos such as Instagram reels. A demonstrated and ongoing interest and passion in finding and telling stories that reflect Australia's diversity.
