We are looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer with a wide range of background in transportation engineering and transportation planning. The role will provide an excellent opportunity to develop one’s skills in the traffic engineering field on a wide variety of projects. The Senior Traffic Engineer is expected to plan budgets, develop, lead and assist in implementing a range of projects, and to nurture existing and new clients. The Role The ideal candidate is expected to be on a “hands-on” role that includes undertaking and / or supervising all stages of projects from initial client contact up to the preparation of final reports for presentation to the client. Key Responsibilities: Supervise the full range of investigation, analysis, design, assessment, modelling, reporting and presentation of tasks associated with client projects Contribute to the operation of project teams to achieve delivery of projects to a consistently high standard to achieve optimum project performance and delivery Prepare and present completed project reports with adherence to the defined completion deadlines Initiate and support business development Strive for continuous improvement, efficiency and effectiveness in undertaking all tasks and responsibilities; Pursue excellence in all aspects, and at all levels, of a professional consultancy team; Develop personal credibility as an acknowledged transportation expert, provide leadership for junior team members and act as a positive role model to all team members within the firm. Ideal Candidate With proven and relevant experience as Transportation or Traffic Engineer. Professional experience as a specialist transportation engineer or transportation planner will be highly regarded Proven report writing and other written and numerical presentation skills. Good communication skills, both within project teams and when in a client environment. Confidence in relationship building with clients and colleagues An ability to apply sound analytical and numeric skills to project work Industry awareness and the ability to maintain good client relationship Experience in contributing to proposals and winning new work An ability to solve complex problems and identify new innovative solutions Experience and Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering is required. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as a Transportation or Traffic Engineer or as a specialist Transportation Engineer or Transportation planner.
