The Role We move fast and would like to hear from you if you answer yes to any or (even better) all of the following questions I understand firmware written in C/C++ and do not get overwhelmed by reading code as I have been doing this for over 4-6 years now. I have worked with Embedded Linux systems other than Rasbian, know what is a device tree and I am comfortable with setting up cross compiling tool chains. I know Python and can design Embedded Linux applications in Python. I understand what needs to be done, when somebody says we need to implement a machine learning model on the edge device I am a Graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineer or equivalent I know how to search for the right answer on StackOverflow or online forums and blog posts and solve the problem at hand. I am a team player and can communicate what I want and willing to assist when my team needs help. I do not have some of the skills listed above, but I am willing to put in the effort to learn what I do not know. A typical day for you would involve using your skills to write code, talk to hardware and software engineers on the team, test your system and bring your unique perspective to the problems Wallace is attempting to solve. About the role The Senior Quality Engineer will be part of a specialist team/community working across all disciplines (Testing Framework Adoption and Enablement, Test Automation, Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Performance Engineering, Service Virtualisation & Monitoring and Quality Analytics), to enable and transform Quality practises within one or more of the Banks Technology Service Teams. Responsibilities Driving continuous improvement in software quality including automated testing coverage operational and security controls (towards 100%) Setting quality standards, guidelines and expectations of all code outputs delivered by the service team(s) Ensuring quality improvements and requirements needs are included in feature / story acceptance criteria Monitoring code quality automation supporting CI/CD pipeline in real-time Managing transition from outsourced manual and/or assisted testing to automated/real-time/continuous hands-off testing Be accountable for the delivery of quality solutions to both internal and external customers Effort estimates and actuals to deliver stories/features Design and enable the execution of an automation test framework for the service Skills and experience Demonstrated experience in a senior/autonomous role as a Tester/Quality Engineer ( approx. 5 years ) Experience in API testing Experience in the use of Tools such as Selenium, Postman, Performance centre, Jmeter, gradle, Jenkins, github.
