The Mechanical Engineering Technician performs a sequence of predefined, specialized and different mechanic assembly operations, which includes specialized testing and problem analysis, in cooperation with a team of differently qualified assembly technicians and assembly operators. Key Responsibilities: Assembling electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies and products in accordance with engineering drawings and products' bill of material. Conforming to test procedures and best practices. Accurate time management and maintenance of inventory consumption in production jobs. Assisting in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations. Proposal and recommendation of better tools, methods and practices. Working effectively as an individual and within a team. Contributes to planning and effective resource allocation in the production group (mechanical assembly). Plans own work steps in cooperation with other team members. Assists in resolving routine manufacturing related problems affecting daily operations. Competencies, Experience, and Requirements: This role would suit an experienced mechanical engineering technician who is looking to take up new challenges in a supportive organisation. Relevant trade or Engineering qualification. Minimum two years' experience in mechanical assembly and testing. High commitment to personal and product safety. SAP AP0 experience Rail industry experience Ability to work with minimal supervision as an individual, or as part of a team.
