We are seeking an enthusiastic and safety-focused UG Mine Technology Technician to join our busy Mining Innovation & Automation team at Cadia.Who we are looking for:Are you passionate about radio technology and skilled at keeping communication channels clear and efficient? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and solving technical challenges? If you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for working with cutting-edge radio equipment, we have an exciting opportunity for you!As a Radio Technician at Cadia, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading radio communication systems used in mining operations. You will work closely with mining personnel to ensure constant and reliable communication across site, both underground and surface.Key responsibilities include: To maintain commissioned technology systems, existing communications infrastructure, Production Monitoring and Tracking systems Maintain and improve both on board and fixed infrastructure components and availability through effective servicing and execution of preventative maintenance tasks Diagnosing and repair of equipment faults Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities Familiarity of Voice communications systems (UHF, VHF) and network configuration (mandatory) Digital Mobile Radio experience (desirable) Qualified tradesperson in the Communications Maintenance field Understanding of mine infrastructure and logistics systems Training and experience in WLAN/LAN networking installation and fault-finding, including Fibre Optics Have experience with modern maintenance techniques and computerised maintenance systems.
