As the Purchasing Manager for our cosmetics client - a newly created role within a newly created team - you will sit within Supply Chain and be responsible for the creation and optimisation of the end-to-end purchase order process for all brands, categories, and suppliers.You'll be managing a team of initially 2 and eventually 5 Purchasing Analysts, working with a mixture of local and overseas manufacturers supplying finished goods, components, and packaging across cosmetics, beauty, health, and wellness.You will have experience in:Developing reports and dashboards that track supplier performance from a purchasing viewpointWorking with broader Procurement teams - in particular Category Management and Quality - to resolve supplier performance and compliance issuesEnsuring that all PO's are being raised in the ERP system in a timely mannerEnsuring that all PO's are being properly tracked and maintained throughout their PO life cycleEnsuring any issue or delay regarding payment/deposit, raw goods, ingredients, production or transportation are resolved appropriately, with no to minimal impact to the businessEnsuring that master data - including but not limited to lead times, production minimums, price breaks, key contacts - within the ERP is always complete and accurateLead a coach a team that has high attention to detiail and will autonomously resolve issues that arise.The successful candidate will want to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment. Supply Manager - OEM

Procurement Strategy:Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives and market trends.Identify and evaluate OEM suppliers within the cosmetics and personal care industries, assessing their capabilities, quality standards, and reliability.Supplier Management:Cultivate and maintain relationships with OEM suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure favourable agreements.Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain smooth operations and high-quality standards.Conduct regular supplier assessments to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous optimisation of the supply chain.Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for cosmetics and personal care products, including safety, labelling, and ethical sourcing practices.Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes throughout the supply chain, ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction.We know we are looking for a rare profile but given our rapid growth trajectory we need someone who has experience of dealing with cosmetics / personal care OEM / ODM's, this is non-negotiable!In addition we will assess for the following:Proven experience in procurement and supplier management, within the cosmetics and personal care industries.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools for procurement, inventory management, and supplier performance tracking.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels within the organisation.Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
