Right now, we are looking for a Surveillance Technician to join our ICT team.So, what does the role look like?Your first few weeks in the business will be busy. Your induction and training will be prioritised in order to have you up to speed and ready to get into the nitty gritty parts of the role as soon as possible. This role will report into the Surface Maintenance Electrical Supervisor and some of the main accountabilities will include: Hands-on involvement in all aspects of electrical maintenance and installation Pre-start inspections of equipment and assets, identifying and reporting all hazards. Ensure statutory compliance of all electrical assets to AS/NZS 3000:2018, AS3008.1.1:2017 and any other relevant Australian Standards. Major hazards are managed in line with Critical Control Management process. All high-risk work or tasks involving major hazards are done under an appropriate Operator Critical Control Check (OCCC) and Job Safety and Environment Analysis (JSEA) or Safe Work Instruction (SWI) Collaborate both vertically and horizontally at all levels in the organisation to ensure common alignment, teamwork and engagement of your team and its key stakeholders. Management and supervision of both apprentices and Electrical Contractors onsite in line with site and apprentice guidelines Foster a culture of continuous improvement. Through your commitment to workplace health and safety, you will ensure that all electrical work complies to the safety and environmental statutory requirements and company policies and procedures. Previous experience in winder & fixed plant maintenance, underground HV network maintenance will be an advantage.In addition to the above skills, you will also ideally have: WA Electrical Worker’s Licence essential and High Voltage Switching Ticket Full Class C Manual Driver’s Licence essential SAP experience Instrumentation experience will be advantageous Proven post-trade experience with exposure to large scale Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy or Utilities sector Experience in high voltage maintenance, reading drawings & completing switching programs Please note: This is a permanent full-time role at our Telfer mine site, FIFO from Perth on an 8 days on /6 off roster 7 nights on 7 nights off roster .Our Commitment to You Newmont is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
