Job Description Coleman Rail has a long-standing reputation as the leading rail and infrastructure contractor in Australia. Providing construction services for major rail and transport infrastructure projects both in metropolitan and regional areas. Funded by the Victorian Government, the Shepparton Line Upgrade will deliver more frequent services and will allow modern VLocity trains to travel to and from Shepparton for the first time. The $356 million Shepparton Line Upgrade will be delivered in three stages, Stage 2 includes platform extensions, upgrades to 59 level crossing and a stabling facility. The Area Manager reports to the Construction Manager and is responsible for the coordination of onsite construction activities, direct wages employees, plant resources and subcontract teams to achieve effective performance from all parties. The key responsibilities of the Supervisors are to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule and to the specified quality. Key Responsibilities: Day to day management of project construction activities Manage and monitor the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial relations, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained. Plan, manage and implement the site establishment activities necessary to ensure all site specific and contract requirements are met in terms of location, fencing, signage, environmental and traffic conditions. Identification, formulation and control of project costs budget ensuring project is appropriately funded and completed within the approved budget Identification, analysis and mitigation of potential risk events including establishment of risk register and initiation of corrective action when required Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule and budget Preparation of all required technical and financial reports on the status of site construction works, including forecasting (cost and time), technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial, safety and subcontractor performance.
